The Journey...

It’s been one year…

@whoismarvin

We’ve argued and fought over some serious subjects and trivial matters. Through conversation and through compromise, we’ve evolved and moved passed the majority of our issues insecurities. We’ve accomplished so much, experience many things, learned a great deal. I’ve introduced to you my loved ones, those dearest to me. In return they loved your back. The journey is still a long one, one that will last a lifetime. Many more arguments, things to learn, and a lot more to experience. As a whole, we can’t be clearly defined as we are constantly evolving, moving from one stage of happiness to another. I can say without a doubt in my mind that my cup is overflowing with happiness and I’ve found my soul mate. Some may think that one year is to short to make such a claim, but as the years go by we will prove those who doubt us.

We’ve come up with a few top rules for each other. Here’s my list for him…

  1. Hold him tight when falling asleep with him. Keep him warm and every once in a while give him small kisses through the night. Never let him go if at all possible. He knows if you do.
  2. When you wake up in the morning, make sure to tell him ‘good morning’. Let him know that he’s the first thought of your day.
  3. He loves to express his affection through touch, so let him. Hold his hand whenever possible. It’s like a connection. Serving only to make the bond between you stronger.
  4. Always be weird with him, make him laugh. Be weird together, in the house, in the car, in public. Anywhere and anytime is the appropriate time to be weird. He’ll laugh and you’ll laugh. You’ll be rewarded to some of the most memorable times.
  5. Communicate your love and interest in his life. Listen to his stories. It’s never too much to say ‘I love you’ multiple times during the day. Always be ‘lambing’ with him.
  6. He loves to dance. Dance with him, whether it’s in bed room, in the shower, or even in the kitchen.
  7. If he throws a tantrum, let him. Let him know that your there for him. Be patient and be ready when he needs you.
  8. He hates Indian food, tomatoes and beans the most. Try your best to make sure he eats healthy, but every once in a while let him indulge in pizza or some Wingstop.
  9. Always compliment him and look him in the eyes when you do. Not because you have to, but because he deserves to be complimented. He’s very handsome, smart and has an amazing smile.
  10. If he loves you. NEVER forget that. And do your best to prove to him just how much he means to you in your life. Dedicate yourself to him and he will do the same for you.
